  12. Quite a common problem however not to easy to solve.
  13. It is quite easy to connect 2 3.5 IDE Hard Drives/Devices to the A1200 (I Know
  14. I have done this).
  15. Power long term is the problem but short term shouldn't be to bad.
  16. The main problem you have is the fact that one of your drives is a 2.5 44 pin
  17. and the other is a 3.5 40 pin IDE.
  18. I have never seen the cable you are looking for but work on the theory that
  19. all problems have solutions.
  20. You could try this if you can get the cables you need a 44 way cable with
  21. three connectors on it if such a cable exist if not you could make one by
  22. getting two 44 way cables taking a connector of of one and putting it in the
  23. middle of the other then get a 44 pin to 40 pin IDE adaptor which you will
  24. need for fitting the 3.5 IDE Drive. Connect the 44 way connector with the
  25. three connectors onto the IDE interface in the A1200 then connect the 2.5 IDE
  26. Drive to the middle connector and connect the 44 pin to 40 pin adaptor to the
  27. end connector on the 44 way cable then connect the 3.5 IDE drive to the 44/40
  28. pin adaptor via a 40 way ribbon cable which you should get with the 44/40 pin
  29. adaptor.
  30. Set the first drive in line (the 2.5 IDE ) as master and the second as slave
  31. (the 3.5) then boot format the second drive and set it up then copy every
  32. thing you want onto it.
  33. The only problem you might have is when you change the 3.5 IDE from slave to
  34. master.
